Mateo’s Café & Snack Bar is located in the picturesque small port of the new town of Monemvasia, right next to the sea. We are open all day long and here you can enjoy your breakfast or coffee or drink an ouzo with a variety of seafood. Our specialties are seafood appetizers, among which we recommend the grilled octopus and squid and the marinated anchovies.

For beer and ouzo lovers, we have the largest variety not only in Monemvasia but in the whole Peloponnese, with more than 120 premium beer labels (Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, etc.) and 15 ouzo labels (from Lesvos island, Chios island, etc).

Also here you will find a wide variety of good tsipouro while you can watch all major sports events on his special HD widescreen TV. The establishment operates since 1965 always offering high quality services. Free WiFi is available and pets are welcome. For the preparation of the dishes organic products are mainly used while the olive oil and the vinegar are produced by the family. We can serve small groups upon request.
